Cor-Pak VpCI Caps
This "shower cap style" protective cover is made from worldwide patented VpCI-126 4 mil film, and designed to protect exposed bare metal parts from corrosion during domestic and export shipments. VpCI CorrCaps are used by placing on the ends of electrical connectors, engines, brakes or many types of exposed unfinished components. Typical application include corrosion protection of disc braking systems during assembly operations and factory road testing. The CorrCaps remain in place until pre-inspection testing at the dealer prior to final delivery where they are taken of the brake assemblies. The VpCIs on the film volatilize and migrate with air and condense on metal surfaces, forming a thin, uniform and extremely effective corrosion inhibiting layer-barrier.
The elastic cap allows for a tight fit on the vulnerable "end", is easy to apply and is secure. The product can be reused for up to 1 year.
PACKAGING AND STORAGE: VpCI CorrCap is available in custom sizes. VpCI CorrCap should be stored indoors at room temperature, sealed in their original packaging.
SHELF LIFE: Shelf life is up to 24 months.
